Miss Sixty Fashion Week Spring 2007

Fashion week kicked off with a presentation at the Guggenheim from the famed denim label Miss Sixty. The museum was a natural choice for this collection, which referenced pop art influences from the 50’s through the 80’s.

Punked out models circled the elegant halls of the Guggenheim in Plunging Tops and Skin Tight washed out denim. Fetish inspired leather harnesses and chains draped back pockets while jackets were buttoned up and tailored in a throwback to the Military Styles of a few seasons past.

Jeans ranged from the usual, super-low to the highwaisted, and were careless tucked into candy red cowboy boots (THE shoes for the season in our opinion). Shorts were ultra mini and embellished with sequins and tattoo like embroidery, while the Sixties hippies flower child made a comback in floral baby doll dresses and towering platforms.
